It’s a Monday, meh! but I have not emailed you for a while so I thought: why not?
I’ve been to Dublin for an amazing event with amazing people and, for the first time in my life, I stayed in a hostel. I know, what a cheap-ass! and yes, there’s some of that but I also wanted to experience it. And I fucking did. Five minutes after checking in and I had to go to reception like this:
Most likely I booked the cheapest rate ever and when I saw “mixed dorm” I thought: “Bah, I am not scared to share a bedroom with men”
(🙄)
It was a huge room with at least 20 bunk beds and in two of the beds, there were men sleeping with the woolly hats over their heads and, apparently, fully clothed under the duvet. It was incredibly bright as it was 2pm.
I went to my bed, number 11, tiptoeing because I was wearing heels and every little noise I was making made me sweat. I took my boots off and went to the bathroom…it did smell bad.
I think it was in less than five minutes that I got out of there.
The staff was amazing and moved me to a six-bed ONLY WOMEN room and it was really great from the first minute.
I now analyze everything as if I’m Sherlock Holmes and, after a while, I know what happened: I did not feel safe at all. The energy in that room was dense too.
However, when I got into the women-only room, it was a different story. I did feel very safe and the bathroom smelled amazing 🤷🏽♀️
I gotta say that the girls (all younger of course) were not very chatty but it did not matter. Not that I wanted to chat either. No one snored, and we were in and out of the bathroom in underwear, no trouble. I actually loved the experience after the change 😁
So yeah, I am kind of understanding the women’s circles and all that jazz much better after this.
On another note…
Blowjobs in the Middle Ages
One of the things I did was visit an archaeology museum and when looking at the outfits, my friend said they used to hang their clothes over the latrines so the ammonia would kill the mites and bugs.
I know, disgusting.
So one thing led to another and we ended up wondering how on earth those people were having oral sex when the hygiene was so poor.
We concluded that the ancients didn't have as developed a sense of smell as we do nowadays (it has to be that, right!?) so they did not find it ‘smelly’.
I took some pictures but guess what? Most are gone because I am struggling with phone storage and I fucked it up, basically, so I only have a few left.
No, I did not drink Guinness, sorry, I don’t like it really but it was a great experience to visit the Irish pubs. One of them had traditional Irish music and all and it was so cute.
When I started the online adventure/business I made up that my father was Irish so I feel a strange connection 😆 maybe the fact that they use Euros also helps to feel more at home.
I am rambling now and quite tired but I wanted to write something that was not AI generated, not even ‘corrected’ so probably there are mistakes cause English is not my first language.

I read them . I also enjoy looking at you.
It's a shame you didn't try the Guinness over there. I know you said you didn't like it. But if you've only had Guinness outside of Ireland then you've not had Guinness. Trust me it's very different and very good when you're in Ireland.
