I didn’t even know who this guy was until he was killed. Which, being me, is not surprising. I chose long ago not to get too tangled in the “outside world.” I don’t stick to any ideology either, other than my own philosophy of life.
So don’t expect me to take a side, wear a color, or wave a flag. For me, those opposites are complementary parts of the same energy (think yin–yang).
What I do see (after doing a bit of research, of course) is how this sad event is being used to stir up more hate and more fear. And since this is my publication, I’ve got to speak out.
Yes, society is upside down. But notice my words: I said society, not world. I’m learning to sharpen my vocabulary.
This world itself is stunning, the most perfect and beautiful planet we know. (Okay, fair, we don’t know another, but still, my point stands.) It’s the society we humans have built (us, our ancestors, all of us) that’s in shambles. You don’t need to be a Nobel Prize winner to see that.
So, the logical question is: Why?
Why has such an intelligent, marvelous species done such a poor job at building a society? Why have our “choices” taken us here?
I can already hear some of you thinking:
“Wait, what? What do I have to do with all this? Are you saying society is broken because of me???”
That’s not really you thinking - that’s your ego. Or more precisely, your mind.
The mind is the greatest, most powerful tool we’ve got, but it’s also dangerous when it takes control of who you really are.
What? You don’t know who you are? Welcome to the spiritual path.
I don’t do divisions charged with hatred, like politics or religion do. But there is one division I do make: there are two kinds of people in this world. Those who, at some point, ask themselves “Who am I?” and those who never do.
That one question makes all the difference. It’s the fork in the road between awareness and sleepwalking.
Now - back to the shooting. I’m not side-tracking.
I’ve stepped away from conspiracy rabbit holes (though I’ll admit: fuck, I’d love to write about that too) so I’m not here to tell you the world is run by lizards or that politicians wear cosmic peel-off masks. I don’t care.
I don’t care if the world is a sphere, a dome, or if we’re just a speck of dust inside a bigger universe where beings live peacefully and use their minds wisely. Who knows?
We are here. Now.
And as I once heard (Analogy Alarm 🔛): if I’m locked in a prison cell, I don’t care who designed the building or who forged the bars. I just want out.
So let’s leave aside who’s running the world. Obviously, it’s not Auntie Beth - it’s big corporations and organizations.
The driving force? Love of power and money, not love of society.
Agreed? Thought so.
No one with a shred of awareness can still believe this system “cares” for us.
Now, the Astrology piece 🤭:
I won’t spell it out, but if you read the stars and look between the lines (and maybe look up “false flags”😉), you’ll get what I mean. We are living in a time where staged events are highly likely. Be careful not to get hypnotized by the loudest narrative.
I’m not writing this to blame, scare, or confuse. Quite the opposite.
SOCIETY IS IN SHAMBLES BECAUSE IT LACKS LOVE AND SELF-AWARENESS
That’s it.
Of course it’s unsettling - not just this event, but wars, genocides, disasters. But realistically, what can little you (little me) do about all that?
Globally? Nothing. You can’t stop wars or bombs, and you can’t feed all the hungry kids even though we’ve got enough food for seven planets.
But here’s what you can do: start with yourself.
Change begins in you - in your mindset.
And here I have to quote, even though I hate over-quoting:
Mahatma Gandhi said:
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
But do you think he made that up? God, no! There was this Rumi folk in the 13th-century who first wrote:
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
And I bet Rumi borrowed it too. Somehow, the wise across centuries always came to the same conclusion: fix yourself first, and the world follows.
So how the hell are we in 2025 still falling apart?
What happened???
(Deep breath. Break. Hyperventilation pause.)
Another ancient gem:
“Divide et impera” - “Divide and Conquer.”
Understand what that means? Then why are you blindly attaching yourself to an ideology that, by definition, pits you against someone else?
My keyword is blindly.
I’m not saying politics or religion must vanish. Politics are necessary to run the world, and religion can bring people together and give hope. But the systems we’ve built? Dysfunctional, outdated, fear-based control mechanisms.
Religion especially is a knot of contradictions. Which “God” holds the power? The Christian one? The Muslim one?
Spoiler: it’s the same one. And it’s not a man, for fuck’s sake.
Jesus was a man (and not even named Jesus) just a teacher. He wasn’t the son of God; he was the son of man, like you and me. The system chose to kill him, because he was inconvenient. That’s all.
Why? Because he told us heaven on earth is found within. Look inward.
And he wasn’t alone. Buddha said it. Krishna before him. And I’m convinced there were civilizations before us who figured it out too… and then self-destructed. And here we are again, on the edge.
To be continued…
Love,
Rose 🌹
